India Global Center for Chinese Studies (IGCCS)
India Global s Center for Chinese studies (IGCCS) is as an independent, non-profit, private think tank engaging in public policy studies. India-China represents almost 40% of the world population. As per World bank’s projections by 2040, India-China will share 58% of world GDP.
According to a 2014 BBC World Service Poll, 33% of Indians view China positively, with 35% expressing a negative view; whereas 27% of Chinese people view India positively, with 35% expressing a negative view.
IGCCS mission is therefore to create synergy between India-China at all levels i.e. policy, people, and business. Our studies and activities are innovative in terms of topics chosen, methodologies employed and policy implications analysed. We shall provide intellectual input for policy-makers, serve the private sector with consultancy work and commissioned research, and generalise and disseminate the Global Indians and Chinese experiences to India-China and the Asia Pacific region. We shall work closely with other think tanks in China and the world.
IGCCS vision is to become a distinctive, world-class to-do tank producing quality results, research and innovative ideas for sustained and sustainable development in India-China and the world.
