Decoding Indian Democracy
Recently concluded Indian elections was biggest in size, efforts, time and money in the world. 900 million people were eligible to vote for 2019 general elections and about 550 million voted in 7 phases lasted almost 2 months. This giant election needs equally huge infrastructural support - 1 million polling booths, 10 million polling officers; stats alone make pollestor around the world wonder "how it's possible?"
Elections are a small part of the democratic system. Indian democracy is vibrant, strong and diverse yet very complicated to understand. This seminar would reflects upon to unravel critical aspects of Indian democracy and polity. We are bringing world-class speakers, thinkers, policy makers and business people to discuss the topic.
